Homecoming: Rally 23-24

Decked out in red, white, navy and baby blue, students banged their thundersticks in celebration during the Homecoming Pep Rally on Friday, Oct. 20. The universes of Neverland, Wonderland, the Wizarding World and Uncharted Realms joined forces one last time to defeat the Monta Vista villains. The unconventional battle unfolded through games including Hungry Hungry Hippos and Tug of War, where students and staff competed against each other in a spirited effort to emerge victorious.

Reflecting the electric energy of the audience, performances from varsity cheer, girls volleyball, boys water polo, field hockey, the Valkyries and the Martial Arts club shook the stadium. The cheerleaders dazzled the audience with their high flying stunts and intricate choreography. Classes competed in a  “Finish the Lyrics” song battle where students sang “Call Me Maybe”, “Party in the USA”, “Heat Waves” and “Let it Go”.

The rally concluded with the alma mater sung by senior Derek Li and a celebration by ASB Recognition of the most spirited students and staff of the week. An unexpected homecoming proposal added an extra touch of surprise and joy, and the classes belted out “Love Story” by Taylor Swift at the top of their lungs.
