Homecoming: Freshman Skit 23-24

The freshman Class of 2027 took Lynbrook to the wonderful world of Neverland in their debut homecoming performance. The skit follows a group of incoming freshmen seeking to overcome their problems of procrastination, eventually embarking on an adventure with their newfound friends, Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. After Peter Pan gets captured by the Monta Vista Matadors, Tinker Bell and the students bravely join forces to rescue him. A swift sword fight between Peter Pan and Captain Matador concludes with Peter Pan emerging victorious, saving Lynbrook from procrastination.

Between skit scenes, the lost boys from Neverland had the audience just watch while performing “Uptown Funk”, and the co-ed routine showed just how “Classic” their class was. Finally, the girls dance performers, wearing their baby blue tank tops and white knit boleros, proved they were truly still the best dressed with “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s Wife”.

At the end of the skit, the class of 2027 gathered on the stage and danced to “Best Song Ever” by One Direction.

“I am very proud of everyone who participated in homecoming this year, from our dancers and skit actors to the audience who cheered us on,” freshman class secretary Rishi Dommeti said. “I am really looking forward to next year where we will be able to do an even better job.”
