Fall Rally 2022: Lynbrook’s Got Game

To conclude Lynbrook’s Got Game spirit week, students packed the gym for Lynbrook’s first ever Fall Rally on Nov. 18, with the overall theme of board games. High energy reflected from all four walls of the gym as students sported their class colors and theme — Candyland for freshmen, Chess for sophomores, Monopoly for juniors and Uno for seniors. Throughout the rally, each class sent representatives to compete in games such as answering trivias and creating human tables with their own bodies. Students from the other four FUHSD schools, dressed in their Lynbrook student host’s class color, experienced the rally as part of their Viking experience via the FUHSD Intradistrict Council exchange.

I enjoyed watching the mini performances done by different school teams and clubs,” sophomore Grace Ker said. “It made me realize how many different communities students at Lynbrook can be a part of.”

The rally featured special acts by girls volleyball, boys water polo, field hockey and the Asgardians esports team. Cheer, Valkyries and color guard also performed lively choreography. ASB Recognition distributed awards to students from each class for their participation and efforts at rally setup and to English teacher Connie Willson for her spirit all week. As the rally came to an end, senior Ryan Kim sang the alma mater to a sea of waving flashlights.
