Stunning models in dazzling garments cat-walked across the quad during the Indesign Lunch Fashion Show on Wednesday. This show featured various pieces from last year in multiple subcategories: “Frostbitten Whispers” for the winter category, “Inferno” for the avant-garde category, “Mirage” from the unconventional category and “Celestial” from the red carpet category.
“I think the show went really well and our models did great,” senior and co-president Zoey Lim said. “Models practiced their walks and poses the day before in the quad, and I think that translated really well into today’s show.”
To prepare for the fashion show, the InDesign officers spent weeks sending out forms to coordinate pieces and nail down logistics. The designers met with their models to make any necessary adjustments to the pieces. The goal of this show was to recruit new members for the upcoming school year and bring awareness to the club as a whole. InDesign meets in Room 71 on Wednesdays at lunch, and mandatory meetings for aspiring models will begin in November.
“There was a lot of behind the scenes work to do, from booking the facilities to contacting the models and designers,” Lim said. “This show was like a mini version of our main show that goes on at the end of the year. We hope that people will be inspired by the models and pieces that they see and possibly join InDesign.”
