Varsity Football vs. Saratoga High School Nov. 5

Accompanied by light drizzle, the Vikings marched onto the turf for the last football game of the 2023-2024 season against the Saratoga High School Falcons. Airborne pompoms, streamers and balloons decorated the stadium as the audience cheered in anticipation.

During the first half, the Vikings put up a resilient defense. Though the Falcons held onto possession most of the half, the score was still redeemable.

Valkyries and varsity cheer demonstrated radiant routines in full display. Synchronized routines, acrobatic flips and unwavering spirit demonstrated the significant progress they had made throughout the season.

After a hard-fought game, Lynbrook lost by a score of 45-0. Despite the outcome, some players maintain a hopeful perspective.

“The outcome is not what we wanted, of course, but it’s okay,” senior Yusuf Gadelrab said. “We have a young team, and we know that they’re going to be a lot better over the next couple years.”
