Homecoming: Staff Skit 21-22

With no Homecoming in 2020, the Lynbrook staff kicked off Homecoming this year by performing their skit, “The Lynbrook Multiverse.” Four students from each class, portrayed by teachers Megan Miller, Anna Kirsh, Josh Miller and Sarah Kraemer, time traveled through the decades of Lynbrook to reinvigorate school spirit.

The skit kept the audience amused with jokes, poking fun at the freshmen and sophomores’ first year on campus, the fire scare after the Welcome Back Rally and the rivalry between Lynbrook and Monta Vista. Crowd favorites of the performance were Lynbrook’s very own Victor the Viking and Maddie the Bull, played by teacher Nhat Nguyen.

After the skit closed with the staff dancing to “Stayin’ Alive,” by the Bee Gees, students gathered in front of the painted backdrops to take group pictures and memorialize their first Homecoming in more than a year.

Moral of the story: It is Lynbrook’s Vikings and their pride that allow them to reach Valhalla. It is safe to say that Lynbrook’s school spirit was revived as students cheered on the staff and the freshmen and sophomores experienced their first day of Homecoming.
