The third fashion show of the year took place on Friday, April 29, in which members of the American-Indo Student Association featured vibrant Lehengas and Kurtas, strutting and posing to Bollywood music. The stylish event was held to promote Silsilay — AISA’s yearly Bollywood showcase. This year, Silsilay will highlight performers from all over the Bay Area, South Asian cuisine and a comedy skit titled “Bigg Boss: Silsilay Special.” Money raised from Silsilay tickets will be donated to the India Literacy Project — a charity that aims to promote education in rural and poorer areas of India.
