On the morning of Friday, June 9, Class of 2023’s 453 graduates lined Lynbrook’s football field as speakers and spectators celebrated their four years of academic endeavors and growth.

ASB President Sarah Sun opened the ceremony with a warm welcome, congratulating all the graduates and expressing gratitude toward all who showed support along their journeys. Three graduate speakers — Saivaishnavi Enduri, Soohyuk Yoon and Cindy Chou — reflected on the class’s shared memories with nostalgic and optimistic speeches, and led their audience to reminisce about their four years in high school.

As the ceremony came to an end, Senior Class President Emma Tu presented closing remarks, congratulating the class on their accomplishment, and Senior Choir sang the alma mater for one last time. The graduates then turned their tassels and tossed their caps into the air as a symbolic transition into new beginnings.

“To have served such a wonderful group of people has been my greatest honor,” Tu said. “I know that going forward, each and every one of us is ready to handle whatever life throws at us. In fact, I don’t think the world is ready for us.”
