The freshman Class of 2029 voted in their class officers for the 2025-26 school year on Aug. 27 and in a run-off election on Aug. 28. The final results named Sophia Xu as president, Rushil Agrawal and Kacie Chen as vice presidents, Trevor Tsoi as secretary and Robert Hong as treasurer. Candidates campaigned two days before the elections. Together, the new class officers hope to bring a strong sense of community and increase participation from all students in their class.
Sophia Xu, President
“My vision for this year is to make every student feel supported and welcomed in our community. I want to do that by improving events or even creating new ones that encourage inclusivity and bring the class closer together.”
Rushil Agrawal, Vice President
“I want to make everyone closer together as a class, so that we can all bond with each other and make it a community that you can learn to love. I want to make sure everyone’s included in every event that we do, in some shape or form.”
Kacie Chen, Vice President
“Being vice president can help me allow more people to be heard. It’s mostly the people who talk a lot who have their ideas more out there. But we really need to listen to the people who don’t talk a lot, so everybody’s ideas are included.”
Trevor Tsoi, Secretary
“My goal for our class is to have them participate in stuff, because I feel like a lot of these events mainly rely on participation, and if we don’t have that, we can’t really do anything.”
Robert Hong, Treasurer
“I hope to have more student involvement, and I want more fun and active fundraisers that students can enjoy and participate in.”
