On Friday, Oct. 4, homecoming rally games from Tug of War to Ball Tag sparked friendly rivalry as each class competed, drawing cheers from the sidelines. The freshmen in Jumanji teamed up with the sophomores, representing Back to the Future, to take on the Spider-Man-themed seniors and the juniors, representing Squid Games.
Beyond the games, the rally featured many impressive performances showcasing Lynbrook’s talent and enthusiasm. The Football Team made an electrifying entrance onto the stage, energizing the crowd and setting the tone for the upcoming homecoming game, the Cheerleaders dazzled the audience with their high-flying stunts and intricate routines, and the Valkyries delivered a dynamic and invigorating dance routine and the LHS Ravens danced to “Magnetic” by ILLIT, leaving the crowd in awe.
The rally concluded with a heartfelt rendition of the Lynbrook Alma Mater, sung by senior Jayadev Ghanta, who brought a sense of tradition and unity to the event. As the alma mater echoed through the stadium, students waved flashlights. From the spirited competitions to the incredible performances, the pep rally was a perfect wrap of Lynbrook’s demonstration pride for the first months of school.
