Six regional and one national competition later, the Valkyries concluded their season by performing their award-winning routines one last time for their annual Spring Show on Friday, April 29. The queue of performances featured various dance genres and solos from junior Sophie Au and seniors Olivia Bu, Anthony Huang and Victoria Hwu. Raffles and student performances ranging from kung fu to stand-up comedy acts were packed between the routines. 

Cheers heard from students and parents in the crowd brimmed the gym with spirit and energy. As the end of the night neared, the dancers welcomed next year’s incoming Valkyries with a dance called “Do It Like This” and celebrated their graduating seniors with flowers and heartwarming speeches.

“The show was incredible today and I’m so proud of our team and all of the Lynbrook students who showed up,” Valkyries Director Katherine Labosky said. “To the seniors, I’m so grateful to have been your coach for the past two seasons and I’m excited to see incredible things that you will do in the future. Remember: once you’re a Valk, you’re always a Valk.”
