Lily Fang

From cross country to basketball to track and field, sophomore Lily Fang keeps busy throughout the school year by participating in a variety of sports. Inspired by her classmates, Fang first began running in elementary school and joined Miller Middle School’s cross country team in seventh grade.

To Fang, running is a means of relaxation, and on the track, she is able to focus solely on running.

“When you’re running, your mind’s not really on anything and it’s really stress-free,” Fang said.

Since elementary school, Fang has always pushed herself to improve her time. She dedicates much of her time to training, running six days a week during the track and field season and four to six times each week during the off-season.

Fang looks forward to continuing to run in the future and participating in track and field during the next season. She encourages others to follow their own dreams as well.

“It doesn’t matter how fast you are — if you want to do something, just start,” Fang said.
