Colin Chow

Inspired by fellow streamers and YouTubers, freshman Colin Chow began Twitch streaming during quarantine. Streaming was an opportunity to interact with new people while sharing activities he enjoyed, such as gaming.

“For me, streaming is doing what I already love — playing games — as well as meeting new people, another thing I really like,” Chow said.

On his Twitch channel, @coincow, Chow streams a variety of content, ranging from talking and interacting with viewers to streaming games such as Mario Kart Super Smash Bros.

Chow also films videos for his YouTube channel @Coin Cow, where he regularly posts numerous vlogs and challenges, with one vlog titled, “Day in the Life with a High School Streamer” amassing over 15,000 views. On his YouTube channel, Chow documented his journey building his dream computer setup, an encouraging endeavor that has since evolved into a significant hobby. To continuously post content, Chow spends much of his time editing his videos.

Chow looks forward to streaming more frequently over the summer and creating new content for his followers.

“Streaming is a win-win, because the viewer enjoys watching and hopefully, the streamer enjoys doing what they do.”
